Author Guidelines
Indonesian Journal of Impactful Community Service (IJICoS)
General Requirements
Authors are requested to prepare manuscripts carefully according to the journal formatting requirements before submission. Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal guidelines may be returned for revision prior to peer review.
- Original manuscripts only; the work must not have been published or submitted elsewhere.
- Manuscripts should contain approximately 3,000–4,000 words, including tables, figures, and references.
- All submissions will be screened for plagiarism before entering the peer-review process.
- Manuscripts must be submitted through the Online Submission System.
- The review version must be prepared for Double-Blind Review by removing all author-identifying information.
Manuscript Structure
| Section | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | Maximum 14 words, centered, bold, Times New Roman 14 pt. Capitalize the first letter of each word. |
| Authors | Provide full author names (without academic titles), institutional affiliation, department, country, and e-mail address using Times New Roman 10 pt. |
| Abstract | 100–250 words written in a single paragraph. The abstract should clearly describe the background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions. Foreign terms should be italicized. |
| Keywords | Provide at least five keywords separated by semicolons (;). |
| Introduction | Explain the background, problem statement, literature context, and objectives without subheadings. Manuscripts should be written in Times New Roman 10 pt, single spacing, and approximately 6–12 pages. |
| Methods | Describe the research or community service approach, participants, instruments, data collection techniques, implementation procedures, and data analysis methods. |
| Results and Discussion | Present findings clearly using tables or figures where appropriate. Discuss the significance of the findings and compare them with relevant previous studies. |
| Conclusion | Summarize the main findings, contributions, and practical implications. Recommendations for future community service activities or research are encouraged. |
| Acknowledgments | Recognize organizations, funding agencies, reviewers, or individuals who contributed to the work but are not listed as authors. |
| References | References must be prepared using Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote, or another reference manager in APA Style. Authors are encouraged to cite recent references published within the last five years. |
Formatting Requirements
- Paper Size: A4
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font Size: 10 pt
- Line Spacing: Single
- File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx), OpenOffice (.odt), or Rich Text Format (.rtf)
- Figures and tables should be placed close to their first citation in the manuscript.
Publication Fee
If a manuscript is accepted for publication, the corresponding author may be required to pay the applicable Article Processing Charge (APC) in accordance with the journal's current publication policy. Please refer to the Article Processing Charge page for complete information.
Submission Process
- Prepare the manuscript using the IJICoS template.
- Ensure the manuscript complies with all formatting and ethical requirements.
- Remove author identity information from the review version.
- Submit the manuscript through the Online Submission System.
- Track the manuscript status via your OJS author account.
